Prince Edward Island Schutchund Club was formed in winter of 2005. The club was accredited on August 12, 2005. The accreditation judge was Raino Fluegge, SV and GSSCC judge. Since that day our club is a member of a national organization German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada , GSSCC.  Before formation of the club persons interested in schutzhund sport trained their dogs individually or in informal groups. Often they attended training days and working weekends at the Fundy Shutzhund Club to test their progress and to seek advice. We still visit FSC to this day.

 

In the summer time our club trains twice a week. On Thursdays we start at 6:00 pm or as early after work as possible and on Sundays at 10:00 am. We have great tracking fields and we go to different areas to train dogs on different terrain. Obedience and protection is done on the club field in Cornwall located on the property of Candice MacPherson and Andrew Bryanton.

In the winter time we train indoors at Gary Evans’ riding arena in New Haven. Training session are once a week on Thursdays starting at 7:00 pm
